Hi, I've just been accepted into Trinity to do science and was wondering if there were any suggestions for a good laptop.

My budget is probably around €750 but I doubt I'd need to spend that much on a student laptop. Any recommendations welcome.
    Thanks!

    Hi,

You'll need to give a bit more info such as what you'll need the laptop for i.e if you were studying engineering you'd need it to run drawing programs etc.

Also how important are things like battery life, hard drive size, touchscreen, portability of the laptop?

Oh yeah, Im doing the Trinity science course which for me would involve the chemistry maths and biology modules. I dont think any of these would require any special programs.

Battery life is very important as it is a full time course. Hard drive size isnt a major issue as I have a desktop at home which I can transfer between.
I would rather something that wasnt touchscreen because it just annoys me. Portability is quite important as I'd need to bring it all around the campus but I am open to sacrificing some portability if necessary.

    Thanks.
