Case mx110 problem

Hi a neighbour used my case mx110 to jumpstart something at the weekend and the dash has not worked since. The fuel gauge is at the very top and the desk is not working saying that the diff is on and it is not etc. just wondering is there a main fuse that could be blown or something as it is driving perfect. Thanks

Just a wild guess but I would say that your neighbour shorted out your battery while jumping whatever he did. Basically he touched the leads off each other while connected to yours or he connected one of the batteries the wrong way around.

Check the fuse board 1st, if all are ok then more than likely it's a control module or dash ecu that got messed up. If it was a fuse, you would have no power to that item. The best thing for you to do is ring your garage and get them to check it out. A mechanic will have a fair idea as soon as he see's it.

Check the connections on the battery too, also check the cover over the battery and the leads for shorts. Neighbour flew fuses on the 6610 we had a few years ago when left a spanner on the battery and dropped the cover on it.

you can't use newer machines to jump start yokes, simple as. that goes for cars aswell. any stray voltage will make sh**e of any module. count yourself lucky it's just the dash.

you will have to get main dealer or auto electrician. could be as simple as a fuse, I doubt it thou. on the newer tractors there would be a dash module. this could be the problem.

You would think with all the manufacturers smartness that they would have something to protect the tractors ecu etc.. I will have to get it plugged in and see what they say so.

If dealers here can't help or want a small fortune to get the dash fixed.

Send the dash to dkelectronics.co.uk. They have fixed a few tractor dashes for me .They are top class .

They have very fast repair service and usually charge about £80 sterling

Hi I got the dash sent off to David King it cost over 300€ and it made no difference it still does not work. I can get infoemation on the screen if I turn the key back however the hours are staying the same it would be great if anybody knows a bit more about it as I know a garage will rip me off?? Also if I take out the little black relay that controls the lift and pto the screen will display the same as if the key it turned back.

If you don't know anything about electronics you should probably find a lad that does like a young lad working in a garage that doesn't mind doing nixers in their spare time.
Otherwise try Google and YouTube learn to use a power probe and voltage tester clean connections with wd40 and wire brush check wires change relays and fuses checking for a bad one.
Electronic problems can be fixed in two minutes or several months depending how quickly you find the problem.
Google has helped me in the past with only bacic knowledge.

You should ask the man that caused it for half the money you spend or all of it

If david King sent dash back it's probably OK, l would probably check the earth going to dash, it's amazing what a faulty earth can cause.

Have seen a wire break on the insulated bushing at the front of the cab behind the dash.

There's 1 at the back, think it's in the centre of the cab.
