    Hi all,
Does anyone have experience with Seat Cordoba 1.4 or 1.2 Petrol ?,
I assume they are good on fuel consumption, What MPL could I expect ?
I can see back seat bit cramped.
Some one pointed on 'whatcar' that avoid 1.4 ?

Am using Toyota corolla 2002 ... Don't like driving too quick even on MW around 90-100 km/h. want a change !!!

    Any advise ?

The Córdoba would be a backwards step. The Corolla is a better car.

    Well thanks for the reply.

In what sense it would be a backward step ?

The Corolla has a 97bhp 16v engine with variable valve timing and the Córdoba has either a rotten 3 cylinder 1.2 or a 75bhp 1.4 which is known to be a soft engine.
Added to that, the Córdoba is narrower, it's smaller in the back, and will be harder to resell than your current car.
The Córdoba was launched in 02 as well, so it's not as if you'll be getting anything more modern,
It's from the polo/fiesta/Yaris class. It's an Ibiza with a boot.

The Cordoba is from the class below the Corolla, the Cordoba is just a saloon version of the Ibiza which is similar in size to a Yaris.

My advice would be for you to try and speed up on the motorways, driving that slow will just cause aggrevation and perhaps even accidents...

Cordoba 1.2 under powered you really have to work at driving it but seem to give little trouble. Good mpg too. Tbh if you have a corolla I think a cordoba would be a very different drive for you and would feel a bit tinny compared to the clunky solid corolla of old. I'd be more inclined to look at VW maybe a jetta.

I'd hold onto the Corolla, a Cordoba (irrespective of which engine you choose) is definitely a step backwards for the reasons outlined above.
