Windows Updates

    Has anyone been having problems with windows updates? I have windows 7 on laptop. There was a major updated last week sometime, 13 updates in all. It has being trying to download updates over 2 gig in size?? Having problems with mobile data maxed out to limit, got a temp 2 gig add on, wiped out in 2 hours :mad: I found its the windows update, seems to want to download every languge on earth. It has also over writen setting on my computer.

    You must have all the optional updates selected. There are about 41 language packs which appear as optional updates on the higher versions of W7. You need to make sure that they are not selected unless you have someone using your computer who needs to use it in a different language. If the latter holds then just select the language they need.

    And then with help of that tool you can install...

    It seemed to have them all selected. It also changed my default setting of selecting what to download to download everything automatically! It was after nearly 4 gig of downloads before I realised what was happening :mad: It also changed my default search from google to yahoo for some reason?

    McAfee is telling me this morning that it is critical for me to download and install an update Chrome 48.0.2564.116 - I have to download and install it myself abut when I click on the download icon all I get (I think) is a link for Lightsaber Escape which seems to be a game?
