Apologises I realise this is probably a repeated question but I can't find any answers to my question directly. I started work on the 20th of July stupidly forgot to send my p45 so was emergency taxed for my first payslip which I received on the 6th of August. I am paid fortnightly. I sent my p45 and the revenue have also sent my tax credits to my new employer today. I'm due to be paid this Thursday the 20th I'm sure it won't be refunded that soon but should I expect it in my wages on the 3rd sept or will it take longer than that?

It depends on how fast your payroll will sort it for you. It's up to them now. Let your payroll know the tax credit cert is on the way.

Emma, all employers are now obliged to use the Revenue Online Service, and the details of your tax credits are sent to them this way. It takes overnight for the details to issue.

There would be no harm letting your employer know that there will be details coming for you via ROS, just on the off chance they are expecting something in the post
