A bit awkward to explain but hopefully someone can shed some light on it for me. I'm a sky customer for almost 2 years because of work and study I'll be moving somewhere else for a few months. I want to bring my sky box and card with me and there is a sky dish and cables in the new place so it seems like it's an easy fix. But I'll be occasionally going back and forth to my old place and was wondering would I be able to bring the box back and forth with me. I don't want to have to cancel my account and then sign up again for a new account before Christmas.

So basically my question is are sky going to be sound and let me move the box to and fro?

Yes that will work. Sky won't need to know you are doing it.

    Hi Wellyd,

I can confirm that what lertsnim says above is correct - as long as you keep your viewing card in your Sky box, connecting to a working dish set-up will allow you to watch Sky straight away.

Cheers! I'm delighted I can keep my sky! I'd be lost without it! Thanks for the quick response!

That is great especially for people with kids and a holiday home, they can just bring their sky box and card to the holiday home and hook it up to a dish there and carry on as before.
