any dublin mums able to advise on how long you need to wait before going down to Lucia house to register your baby? Holles street website says to ring them to check the paperwork is in 10 days after birth, which would be great if they ever picked up the phone....

We registered after about two weeks both times. Once we were waiting over an hour, the second time we were in and out in 20 minutes. They never answer the phones.

If you want to know that info is in the system ring a different office as its a centralised system. We rang Naas who told us info was uploaded and then went into city centre to register. If you're married only one of you needs to go

You can register him in Naas too if it's closer to you.

I found naas office much better. Parking right outside. Small thing that makes a big difference with a newborn :-)
