Depression...feeling a bit low tonight

    Hello everyone.

I'm not a new user, I just created a second account so I can chat on here anonymously when needed.

I'm on antidepressants a month now, they're helping, but I'm just having one of those 'meh' evenings...sitting st home alone, all friends are busy, I've entertained myself with housework etc but now I'm just sitting here feeling miserable.

I split with my partner 4 months ago and we stayed friends for a while but that hasn't worked out and there's been no contact now for over a week. Feeling very low over this.
I know it's just a bad day and it will pass but it's good to talk when I'm feeling like this so I've resorted to here in the absence of a friend to listen to me moan!

Anyone else feeling poo this evening? Tell me I'm not alone!! Haha...

It will pass... Might not seem like it right now!

It's the worst feeling. I know that 'dead' feeling well.
Are you alone Noah or do you have someone there with you?
If not is there anyone you could call over for a cup of tea or something?

I'm feeling a bit poop tonight as well. I've climbed into bed with chocolate and Netflix. That usually helps.

This will probably get me into trouble, because it's not really advice but --- pancake-head_1571293i.jpg

Always cheers me up, no end.

You do have to wait quite a while but it's worth it! I waited about 3 months to get an appointment but I was glad I had my name on the list.

    Hi OP,

Just had to reply to let you know that you are definitely not the only one feeling this way. I've been feeling quite low for the last few weeks now too, on paper I should be really happy, I've no major problems bar the usual life issues but for some reason I can't seem to snap out of it; everything just seems grey. I'm considering a visit to my G.P-although do slightly feel that I may be wasting their time.

You mentioned that you and your partner just broke up so obviously this is going to have a huge emotional effect on you, it may not seem like it but probably the best thing for you right now is to not be in contact, you need to give yourself a chance to adjust to life without them. I know this is far easier said than done though! Be kind to yourself, keep busy and force yourself to get out & about.

I hope you all feel better soon.

Hey guys, totally getting the dead feeling and not connected to anything. I am on antidepressants and counselling. But right now I feel nothing helps. Sleeping all days and no interest in snapping out of it. Feel so hopeless sometimes. But again we have good and bad days. Right now I am just experiencing bad days. Hope it gets brighter for us all.
