I'm new to Netflix. How long after a series is on TV does it get shown on Netflix?

I've recently finished Call the Midwife and Mr Selfridge. There are more recent series of each that aren't on Netflix yet.

It can take a while depending on rights, which geographical market they're targeting, etc. There's a few posters around here who have more knowledge I have and keep an eye on when stuff is being added or dropped from Netflix.

HBO stuff is pretty much a no go as that's all tied up with Sky.

Bit of a problem at the minute, I just started watching The Wire a couple of days ago and now all of a sudden Showbox has stopped working. So I signed up to Netflix for a month's free trial and of course they don't have The Wire, so how the he'll do I watch it???

I do have Sky btw but I don't have boxsets and I'm not prepared to pay them anymore money, they're far too expensive as it is!

I am basedin Spain, and Netflix is coming here in October.
Programming sucks in Spain, weird times for shows, adverts inexplicably appearing at wrong times.. their homemade stuff is dire (think British comedy of the 60´s) so I am looking forward to Netflix. I use an Irish VPN to catch the stuff on back home, but I think NetFlix will make life a lot easier..

I can´t believe the price per month, incredible value.

I tried to start the free months trial, but they ended up billing me. I've been searching for a customer service email but if there is one, its too well hidden behind all those BS FAQ's websites these days use. Anyone got an email address?

I've never called them, but this number was in the help centre, in my profile/account.

One of the best customer services I have ever spoken to.

If you are on a PC go to the bottom of the page and there is a tab with Help Center there click on it and it should lead you to a help page where they have a live chat at the bottom of that with a Want to contact us? banner.

I have recently watched my first series on Netflix namely" Downton Abbey" and really enjoyed it, anybody got a recommendation for something similar.

The Forum on Spirituality has been closed for years. Please bring it back, there are lots of Spiritual people in Ireland and elsewhere.

Showbox is an illegal streaming option (illegal by the provider, not necessarily the user) Netflix is legal and legitimate. Showbox/kodi etc have everything because they don't buy rights, they just stick everything up anyway.

Not really similar but it's the daddy of them all, "Breaking Bad". I've just started watching Bloodline. It's a bit of a slow burner but looks pretty good so far.

Velvet, Mr. Selfridge, The Paradise and Call The Midwife. There'll be a Netflix Original about Queen Elizabeth at the end of the year called The Crown.
