gas on all night

Hi, sorry not sure if this is the right place so feel free to move.

Arrived home today after a weekend away to find that my partner had switched the heating to constantly on instead of timer. Gas has been on all night and day...

My question is how badly will this affect our bill? It is a small one bed apartment with three radiators.

    Thanks

Nobody can give an answer without knowing how long you had it on timer before, what thermostat settings you have, etc. The ballpark will be "quite heavily"

I haven't had my heating on since April let alone on a timer though - how cold is your apartment?

Not cold at all but don't have an electric shower only turn it on usually for half hour to heat water.

It will be a true stress-test of your relationship.
But if she puts 50 euro in the sin box you should be well covered.

Actually I'm the she and partner is the he in this case :-) have only moved into new place so still not sure of what bills will be which is why I'm probably over reacting a bit. Easy mistake to make.

Take a meter reading and compare it to the read on the previous bill or your starting read if you haven't gotten a bill yet

Not a consumer issue so I've moved the thread to Plumbing and Heating.

Is there a thermostat on one of the walls? Or on the radiators?
