the chances are that tipping happened in the many millennia of human civilisation prior to america as we know it today was invented.

Of course not. Nothing good has ever come out of the U.S.

Everyone there is obese, war-mongering, socially irresponsible, gun-loving, consumed by consumption, out for themselves, money-loving, arrogant, stupid, bible-thumping, ignorant, insular, ill-informed, and lacking in humour.

The whole tipping thing is obviously their fault too.

You weren't exactly convincing in your opening post either.

Tipping didn't originate in the US OP -

The practice of tipping began in Tudor England. "By the 17th century, it was expected that overnight guests to private homes would provide sums of money, known as vails, to the host’s servants. Soon afterwards, customers began tipping in London coffeehouses and other commercial establishments."

Gratuities were actually used in Europe ever before america was a thing. No one knows where exactly it was first started but they know it was definitely a thing before america was around.

Maybe it would not be as widespread as it is now if it did not become the norm in the north Americas though.

Would the Moon exist if it wasn't for America? Nobody really believed it was an actual moon until the Americans sent a chimp there.

Here's a tip for you, how about posting your own opinion on the matter?

As much a statement as a question.

Is it? Tipping is more ingrained in American culture than any other, that should be inarguable. So think it is straightforward question to ask if it would exist if it weren't for America without it as being seen as a loaded agenda driven question.

So it's a statement. You obviously have an opinion.
