Came across this on the US Netflix a few weeks ago and decided to give it a go. Although it takes about 10 episodes to find it's stride it's a good show. Not an amazing show yet but enjoyable so far.

Im now upto mid season 3 and Im wondering am I watching the best era of the show? Does it get better or worse from here?

It doesnt come close to Always Sunny or Parks & Rec for me but it is a decent watch and easy enough to watch an episode or two of a night.

    Is anyone else a fan?

PS: please use spoiler tags for any big reveals. For example, I suspect that eventually
Liz and Jack do get together
but Id rather find out for myself.

Yeah, I thought it was amazing. Have my girlfriend starting from the start now as well.

It's enjoyable alright. Think it dropped off towards the end, but there's a lot of laughs to be had, a lot more PC than Always Sunny. Alec Baldwin is class in it!

It's basically carried by Fey and Baldwin though. It's a real mixed bag. At it's best it ranks amongst some of the best comedy ever, when it's bad it's very bad.

Season 6 is noticeably quite patchy, but then Season 7 has some of the best of the run - overall it's a great show, very quotable :D

    And the rest is solid?

What Im waiting for is that standard I now have for American sitcoms after seeing Always Sunny and Parks & Rec.

I might be left waiting in this case though ;)

I think season 3 and 4 are 30 Rock at its best.

By the final season every character has been completely flanderized but its still really entertaining to the end.

You made me Google "Flanderized" ;)

I stopped at early season 3 last week and havent returned yet. Narcos and some newer stuff on netflix now have my attention.

I might go back to it but 30 Rock doesnt really feel like one of the all time TV comedy greats.
