Hi all. My wife is 7mths pregnent and has two burst eardrums. She was given an antibiotic but two weeks later she is still suffering. Any natural remedies or suggestions would be much welcome.

With eardrums- the intense pain- is from ear infections behind the ear drum. It doesn't actually mean the eardrum is burst. The purpose of the antibiotic was to clear up the infection. It does take a while to work- if its going to work- however, if- after 2 weeks, it hasn't- then it really is time to go back to the GP.

If the pain suddenly subsides- it means the eardrum has burst.

In all honesty- given her pregnancy- you're better off running any treatments, herbal/natural remedies or otherwise- by her doctor- its not a good idea to try things out in pregnancy.
