NCT Side-slip quick fix

    I need a quick-and-dirty solution for a cheap run-about car.
It failed NCT for Side-slip/Alignment - everything else was a PASS.

    Front Axle: -18m/Km (Outside +14 to -14 m/KM) FAIL/REFUSAL
    Rear Axle: 0.0m/Km (Outside +18 to -18 m/KM) PASS

    Question:
Can I eyeball it, sufficiently to pass, by increasing toe-in on left front (or decreasing it on right front)?

The car is worth no more than €200 and I just need 3 months from it so don't plan to spend more than the NCT retest fee. Re-Test in 2 weeks.

    Please advise

Front wheel alignment should be between 30-40 euro. Will save you money on tyres etc.

    Otherwise (-) it's pulling left...

Yeah its worth getting it done properly, you could fail again if you don't

String, straight edge/measuring stick (ruler) and some flat level ground.

If you can roll it back and forth then you can average out any variation at the rim.

Should be able to bring it back to spec.

Something like this will point you in the right direction:

It's either that or finding someone who will lend you a Gunsun Trakrite (aka Weaver board) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-yiJpe1sIA

If you decide to go with the tape measure and string, treble check your measurements as you go along and come back and tell us the results of the retest!
