From Jobseeker's Allowance to Back to Education Allowance

    Hi all. How does the transition from JSA to BTEA work? Is it an instant transition or is it a gradual process? In other words; will one have to wait a while before the JSA payment is carried over to a BTEA payment or will it just switch instantaneously?

    Sorry if I have worded all of this bad.

    Your payment won't stop, if that's what you're worried about.

    Yeah your payment just switches over :-) , have you been approved btea? How long were u waiting if so?

    Oh no this is for my girlfriend she just got confirmation that she is going to college, essentially. All she has to do now is apply for BTEA.

    Sorry! I should've cleared that up :o

    I'm still waiting on reply if I got into college myself.
