Want to abandon old Iphone back up`s from iTunes.

    I am on my second iPhone 5 now which I bought about 6 months ago.

    Each time I connect my iPhone to my laptop, iTunes gives me the option of restoring my iPhone but I know for a fact, its giving me the option to restore from my previous iPhones `s backup as opposed to my current iPhone.

    How do I get iTunes to abandon the back up`s from my previous iPhone and and concentrate on the back up`s from my current iPhone?

    You could try deleting the old backups in Preferences.
