Did anyone else receive this email from Grover Philip? It seems a little suspicious.

    ATTENTION: University of Limerick User,

Due to too many usage of our web mail service, there has been congestion on our database, therefore our web admin would be shutting down all unused Limerick accounts, You will have to confirm your Limerick account as an active account by clicking this link and submitting the required information (CLICK HERE) to submit the required information's and your account will automatically be verified as an active account.

    Thank You

Based purely on the language and without checking the hyperlink I think that its a suspicious email and would NOT click the link or provide any information.

If UL have someone that you can report suspicious emails to you could forward to them. They would be able to confirm if genuine or perhaps take appropriate action if not (such as blocking the email address from sending further emails to other UL contacts)

I would imagine that UL do have someone that could assist further but maybe someone else on here might be able to confirm that or have a definite answer to your question.

Definitely dodgy. UL have the whole updating password thing for ridding themselves of unused accounts. They're also closing the accounts of grads automatically in November. By the looks of it, someone seen this and had their own ideas.

Didn't get this one, but did get one from I.T. saying that if you get that one to delete it as it is not legit.
