I have been called for Jury service, I am just after having a baby and am breast feeding. Is this reason acceptable for not going if I ring them up and explain this?

The form they sent you, gives a sample list of reasonable grounds for being excused. Does one of them cover this?

Contact the County Registrar by phone or in writing and explain the situation. S/he will be able to advise you regarding your options or excuse you altogether.

Last time I was called, there was, but it was a while ago.

There is some limited information on Court.ie and CitizenInfomation.IE but nothing really relevant to you.

Just write back to them explaining the situation.
