Something more sinister to Chinese explosions?

The economic chaos of the yuan devaluation could be seen and was seen by some of China's enemies as a financial 'nuclear' strike. Now we have seen in the last week a practical 'nuclear strike' on the Chinese port city of Tianjin with many eye witness reports of mushroom clouds.

Now come the evacuations ! The cover up can start for real

The Chinese authorities have ordered the evacuation of residents within a 3km radius of the Tianjin blast site over fears of chemical contamination.
The evacuations came as police confirmed the highly toxic chemical sodium cyanide was found near the site.

Perhaps there is much more to this than meets the eye? I note the yuan has now been strengthening - de facto reversal of the devaluations! Have the Chinese been warned off economic attacks by a tactical nuclear strike ?

A mushroom cloud is just the result of convective currents from a heat source.
Thats not to take away from point of this thread though, which is to attribute this diaster to sabotage. Not beyond the realm of possibility really.

Possibly caused by the US using a kinetic energy weapon as revenge for the Yuan devaluations etc. I don't think it's too far-fetched.

not likely, would spark nuclear war if the US committed such an abrupt act with a weapon that is by definition a WMD if it exists.

Doesn't really make sense...China have plenty of nuclear weapons themselves and wouldn't think anything of striking back. They are always looking for ways to make the US look bad so I don't see why they would take part in the cover up.
