Reckless behaviour from ulster bank

My wife managed to forget her PIN for debit card.
She filled out request online for new pin, and got information that new pin will be sent by post to her home address within few days.
It's been more than a week, and nothing arrived.
Day later, she got a phone call from our local Ulster bank branch that they got a letter with her pin. She was really surprised it was sent to bank branch instead of home address, but person over the phone said they will send it by post to our home address.

Now the best thing. Letter arrived within 2 days and pin was there.
But also another letter arrived (from the same sender - local Ulster bank branch) on the same day (generally postman dropped 2 letter both from the same sender).
Guess what was in other letter - her new debit card as old one was about to expire.

How come a serious institution like Ulster bank send out card and pin for together through the post on the same day?

The card was likely sent from a central facility, where all the cards are made/printed - it's not uncommon that they would print the leaflet with your local branches address. So although the local branch sent the letter with the pin, the card was sent direct from the printers. Just bad luck they were both delivered the same day

    Definitely not the case.
Both envelopes were exactly the same with address written by hand using the same pen and with same handwriting. Both saying private and confidential. And both stamped by the same post office stamp with the same data.
Im 100% sure they were posted together by the same person on the day.

Ah, that makes things clearer - you should definitely follow up with the branch on that, its a poor security procedure alright
