Irish Water text me today on my personal mobile number. I have never registered with them. I live in a house where we have a well.

How did Irish Water obtain my personal data without my consent, and without my having any contract or agreement with them?

First thing that springs to mind is a customer with a similar number may have registered and entered the digits wrong. Happens to businesses all the time.

I'd imagine the reps will look into for you :)

As an aside, are you aware that you do need to register with them, as a non-customer, even though you have a well (and probably a septic tank) to avail of the €100 grant ? It's too late for this year of course.
