Bolier Service though Living Social Deal - Dublin Plumbing and Gas - DONT PURCHASE

To anyone who has bought the living social deal for Dublin Plumbing and Gas to do a boiler service get a refund immediately, when I questioned how long it would take and what it comprises off they said 30 mins (according to Bord Gais a competent service should take 1 hour minimum) and then wouldn't answer on me what it comprised. Finally when I called a guy told me as I was getting a discount I should be happy with what I was getting. Surely a discount from Living social shouldn't take anyway from the service. The deal was €39 down from standard €99 for a boiler service.

Are Bord Gais promoting a 30 mins service over a competent one hour service. That doesn't seem right or even safe

Don't see where it says that in the first post.

Out of curiosity, why would you write to Bord Gais?

According to Bord Gais a competent service would take an hour. If someone is advertising a service for 30mins. I'm assuming someone's contract with Bord Gais would be unsafe if there was any problems, I would be writing to Bord Gais to clarify there position.

Bord Gais have nothing to do with independent rgi's servicing boilers. You need to speak to RGII if you've a problem

Only a housewife. Never heard of them. I would still ring Bord Gais and ask if a 30 min service be the same as an hour.

Best to direct your enquiries to RGI Ireland, www.rgii.ie.
They are the regulatory body who oversees all the people who work on domestic Gas in Ireland irrespective of who that person works for, even if they work for Bord Gais.
