So finally the fight has been confirmed for Cotto to defend against Canelo. Great news this has been confirmed as it'll be a fantastic fight and the whole card should be a cracking one. It's a bit weird to see two almost unnatural Middleweights go at it (both could probably make 154 handily) but I couldn't give a damn, it should be a great fight. I'm interested to see how Canelo will fare with no weight limits as even at 154 he looked massive. I think 160 will see him monstrous.

Early prediction: Canelo by mid to late TKO. Cotto to retire.

Even though I fully expect Canelo to win this, I think it will be a very good spectacle. Can't wait.

I have a feeling that Cotto's experience and boxing ability will make this a very competitive fight. Canelo is not exceptional, and I think Cotto can exploit some weaknesses with him. Cotto may win this via cuteness. Great clash of styles here. The 155 lbs weight limit probably favors Cotto that bit more. Saul is maturing and still growing. Very tough for him I'd imagine making 154 lbs.

Aww f*ck I got so excited I didn't even see the 155 catchweight :o I thought it was straight 160....I knew it would be too good to be true with Cotto to agree to that. Hmmm that makes it more interesting. I also read somewhere that Cotto's purse is about 22m, while Canelo gets about 6m. Roc Nation are pulling wonders for Cotto.

    Stupid Catchweight of 155lbs.

In terms of correctness, and fighting for the Ring title, the catchweight is a joke, but for both men, who are LMWs really, then I have no gripe with the catchweight.

Well put, lets just hope we see a cracking scrap. Me personally I would like to see Cotto get the W.

Canelo is all that is right about boxing at the moment, want's to fight anyone and there's no bullshit about him. He's the younger fighter, involved in less wars and I hope he wins.

    +1
