2015 National Championships Placing Table - Where did your club finish up?

Back by popular demand (apparently) is the National Championship Placing Table. The method of calculation is explained in the article. It's far from a definitive list, as some events had far more depth than others last weekend. Many events didn't even have 8 competitors (I even managed to score my club a point in the long jump because of this!!), but it does give a good indication as to which clubs performed well, and which perhaps didn't.

The big movers from last year were St Laurence O'Toole who climbed from 66th to 10th, and Ballymena & Antrim, who jumped from 34th to 8th. Leevale on the otherhand slipped from 2nd to a tie for 8th. Clonliffe were easy victors for the second year in a row.

Sad our club not on the list, not doing well at this level, doing well at the masters though

Why would that be? Are there many senior athletes in your club? Is there strong focus on track or do you look to XC and road instead?

There is load of kids and then most of the men and women would be over 35. One of our woman got 7th in Lyon there earlier in the week in the masters.

In fairness to the club they do push track as much as road, they put on extra sessions when track meetings are coming up.

For me its mainly road, don't have the speed for the track, but did a few 1500m in santry in graded meets a few years ago, hopefully do more next year just life gets in the way :)
