It's like Father's Day! It refers to the singular

I used to always say citog until I discovered it means 'clumsy'. My bro is one. Have tried using a scissors with my left hand, I'd be citog too if I had to!

Showing me age. You've never heard the phrase "takin the soup" I presume.

"Indeed, the reality of such an approach in practice meant that 'Irish Catholics were unashamedly pushed into converting to Protestantism in return for bowls of soup' 22, a practice governed by the Temporary Relief Act 1847. In many recorded cases, only those who attended Protestant church services were given food. Elsewhere, Kinealy 23 referred to this evangelical practice as 'souperism' or 'proselytism' - providing food in return for converting the Protestantism. "

I understood the phrase of ''taking the soup'' and its relation to Quakers, but I wasn't sure what that had to do with being left-handed though.

.....the notion of the "left hand path" and all that. Evidently its the kind of attempt at humour that either (a) isn't funny (b) doesn't come across clearly over the internet or (c) a combination of the first two.
