Please give more information on the PSU and the case so people know how big of a graphics card you can get.

    GTX 980 or R9 390X €425
    Xeon 1231v3 €250
    500w PSU €60
    8gb RAM €50
    1tb HDD €55
    250gb SSD €90
    H97 board €90
    Windows €30
    Total €1050

Bar adding more storage there's no real worthwhile changes imo

Sell the 1000w, its way more than needed, a 500w at 80% is better than a 1000w at 30%

    Any questions ask away

    Thanks for that.

The 1000w is an old psu I have couple of 650w lying around I will probably use one them.

Could you explain why you use a Xeon instead of an I processor? Is it just due to the price as performance should be similar?

Would going to 16gb ram be a waste?

and lastly What site to get the, from at those prices?

    Thanks again :)

    650w would be grand then.

A Xeon is essentially an i7 without integrated graphics, so it's €70 or so cheaper than the i7.

Depends, 8gb is pretty much the standard, most games don't even use that much. Star Citizen is one game that needs 16, but that's all I'm aware of. You can always add more ram anyways.

Amazon, midefactory, alternate, caseking or computeruniverse should be fairly similar to those prices

I would go with 980 over a 390X (beats or matches it in most cases, uses quite a bit less power). 390 over 970 though. Rest looks decent, 650w PSU is perfect :)

There's only a 12% difference between 970 and 980. The 390x is in between and the 390 lags them all at 1080p.

it depends on the game. In some cases the 390X actually beats the 980! But generally speaking the 980 edges it, and draws quite a bit less power, so for 1080P I would definitely favour it.

However there is nothing wrong with the 390X either!

Both cards are powerful enough that they should do you at 1080p60 for a little while anyways

    Thanks for the help all.

I just ordered it today. Got the 980 over the 390.

I wasn't going to get a monitor, But I might do in the next month or two. and recommendations on one in around the 200 mark? 22" - 24".

    cheers

    1080p?

I've a BenQ 2450, was about €160, its grand I suppose, I've no issues with it.

Well I'm using a BenQ m2400hd as is. It might be fine, but its getting on in the years now. 1080p would be grand.
