Swapping hub problem

Hi I changed over from a shimano hub to a campy hub on a mavic cosmic wheel. Went for a quick test ride all fine but when I went for the main spin about 5 mins in , the hub locked so it would not free wheel just kept spinning the crank. What did I do wrong? I didn't remove the plawls just pressed them in as the hub was…

Hi

Pwrhaps the little rubber band that holds the pawls in place became dislodged and the pawls have sprung out and locked the wheel. Whatever it is, is suspect it's something to do with the pawls.
