New Car

Looking for a new car which is good value and won't depreciate fast. Something that will last and not be a noose around my neck if a sale is needed/desired.

I was thinking of a 08 VW Golf TDI/10 Focus TDCI or even taking the plunge and going for a 141ish Skoda Rapid Spaceback, again TDI.

Seat Leon is also an option as is the smaller Fabia and Ibiza.

I'm looking for best value as the car I have is worth practically nothing and maybe a scrappage deal would be it's best bet(04 Mazda 3 145K on clock).

    Advice please.

Fabia/Ibiza/rabid are a nice bit smaller than your 3.

If you can live with supermini sized cars, there are a whole raft of options out there. I would find it hard to downsize thst much.

There is a huge difference in both prices and size between a 08 Golf, 10 Focus and 14 Rapid/Fabia and Ibiza. OP you really need to narrow down how much you are willing to spend and which size car you are happy to live with.
