I am looking for information on a commercial lease. I signed the lease at the Auctioneers with the Agent. A few days later I paid up and took receipt of the keys and access to the building.

More than ten days later, I take a call from the Auctioneer saying the landlord was about to sign the lease but got a phone call from another tenant who had issues with the letting. Now the landlord doesn't want to go ahead with the letting.

Does the agents signature mean anything?
Was the Auctioneer slacking by not getting the landlord to sign sooner?
Where do I go from here?
