    I am very confused about 'threads' ... 'forums'....etc.
    all I want to do is put an ad in the bike section...[its a wanted ad for a touring bike]...
    Can anyone tell me how to do this as I cannot find a facility on the site anywhere

    Just do exactly what you did for this post (you're in the right section), but obviously put in the details of what you want
