Employer not paying for booked holidays

Title is meant to read 'employee', not 'employer', apologies.

Let's say someone was working on a Sunday with the following 5 days booked off as paid holidays as agreed by the employer. On Sunday the individual has a panic attack and requests to go home early. If at the end of the 5 days holidays the employee finds that they haven't been paid (employee was left unpaid out of spite, manager has history of doing things like this) and without any notice from their employer - do they have a case against said employer?

Yes they have a case to ask the employer why this happened. What else do you want from them? It could be a genuine error
