Driver Fitting Question

I bought a second hand SLDR driver and it seems like the type of driver that needs to be fine-tuned for optimal results.

I'm wondering is there anywhere you can go that will fit you to an existing club - as opposed to fitting you for a prospective purchase?

So you bought a 2nd hand club, and now u want that club custom fitted for you?

Makes little sense, but your local club pro might help cheaply.

What doesn't make sense? Are you saying that only new clubs can be custom fit?

No he's saying it may have been better to get fitted for a driver before purchasing the SLDR. Pretty sure any second hand club can be fitted, but whether that specific club suits your swing remains the question.

I'd say rather than go to a shop, go to a pro at a driving range, they should be able to take you out with a bucket of balls and get you moving towards the right setting on the club. I'd presume that they would charge you whatever their standard lesson rate is for the service?

As the lads say just get a lesson and tell the Pro you got a new driver can he set it up for you simple plus you be getting a lesson too! killing 2 birds with 1 stone and all that!

Easy enough with a club that u can screwin or out the shaft. Lots of cheap afret market shafts around.

But presumably you'd need a few shafts around with the right adaptor?

Finding out whether twisting the adaptor to the left a notch or to the right two notches is best for you that's not fitting, right? And surely you can do that yourself?

I thought driver fitting was about checking your 'numbers' and find the right shaft (make, type, length) for you?

As far as Im aware with the SLDR driver it has to be probably set up with i.e the correct settings on the driver. Which i'm sure a Pro will do.

Cheers Benny, that's exactly the point I was making. The SLDR really needs to be fine tuned.
