Hi, my daughter hopes to be starting nursing in September :) in AIT can anybody tell me how this will work with accommodation as she will be doing placement outside Athlone and there is no way we can afford 2 lots of rent, 1 will be hard enough! She will have classes in AIT part of the year and then placement in one of the 3 hospitals. Any info appreciated.

    Hi there,
I know at the open day they told us that nursing students get an allowance of 50 euro a week for placement. I was told that 1st year students should ask 2nd year students what they did for accommodation. I think students can rent an apartment between a few of them. There could be someone driving over every day. I'm starting nursing this year aswell.

    Hoped this helped..
