    Hi,

I have invested in a couple of different shares and some worked well some not so well. I want to get out now and just wondering if I sell them all can I offset the gains against the losses and how it works?

    Thanks

Yes any losses can be set against gains in the same year. If not used the losses can be carried forward against future gains.

There is an annual exemption of €1,270 and any gain above this (after offset of losses) is taxed at 33%
