How do I bring up pre-edit pre-warped quick-linked files in Ableton?

I'm not sure how to ask this question...
So I've been casually calling myself a DJ for the past 3 years using Ableton. A dJ friend of mine told me how to quickly bring up samples or tracks that you've already spent hours warping and editing and drop them directly into Ableton as clips instantly without having to re-edit them every time you've got another upcoming setlist to make for the next show...
I can't remember how or what he said to make this happen... some sort of file allocation dilemma I think... to change the file code to a .exs file maybe? I dunno, I'm not too savvy with the technical side of it = just mixing and building rad sets!
HELP!!!!!!! For the sake of all things dance, I'm tired of putting 4 hours of work into every 1 hour set I play. It's monotonous. Thank you!

    I'm running Mac OSX 10.10.4 w/ Ableton 9
