I'm currently looking to apply for a masters course in coleraine. if anyone here moved from the republic to the north to complete a masters could you please enlighten me on the fees situation, does Susi fund masters courses? Does Beta still apply if you study in the north? Any help or links to answers would be massively appreciated.

Also studying in Scotland is a second option available to me? Does this change anything. (much research needed)

Back to Education is only available for a Masters if it is a Masters in Education (you also must be progressing academically wise). SUSI will not offer you a maintenance grant which is basically just money to live on (rent, food etc). I am not sure whether they cover the fees for the masters but I think that may be only in exceptional circumstances, I don't know much about grants in the North. As usual though it is best to ring SUSI or contact your local welfare office but I wouldn't get my hopes up of receiving any funding.
