I bought a car a month ago which has never been taxed in Ireland, the dealer told me he would send away the log book and sort the RF100, i have no tax on the car and want to tax it, ive tried ringing him several times and he said he has sent it away for me, Can I tax the car without these documents? Im getting worried if getting pulled over for having no tax??? How much trouble would I be in

If it's never been taxed then there is no logbook.

Hi guys. I too bought a car last weekend from a private owner. It has nct and tax. However, I'm just wondering, can I insure it in my name before I get confirmation of change of ownership? I signed the logbook the same day I bought the car and the seller was going to post it to Shannon, Monday gone. Thanks
