ESB - anyone recommend best current alternative?

    Searched for this and only found an old thread that was closed back in 2011.

    Is it a case of better the devil you know? Appreciate any responses, particularly from anyone that may have recently moved away from ESB

    Best alternatives. Aren't they all the same except for price. you can use a price comparison website to work out which would bring you the biggest savings.
    example. http://www.bonkers.ie/

    Added Note: ESB own and maintain the network. The only way to move away from ESB is to go off grid. You can choose any supplier, theres about 6 off them, none being ESB.
