    Hello,

My son has recently turned 18 and in doing so his child benefit is gone, he is still in school and is sitting his leaving cert this year, which is an expensive year as it is without this drop in income.

Myself or my wife have always worked so we have no idea about how any of this works, although we work our budget isn't great and we have a younger daughter too, so loosing out on €135 is a large chunk of money.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

You may be entitled to FIS. What's your weekly take home family income ?

It is usually between 600 and 700 a week depending on how many hours the Mrs gets that week.

Your family wouldnt have any entitlment to FIS if you have 650 approx per week.
How many days per weeks does your wife work and what is her weekly income. Im asking about days now, not hours.
