Opel Astra cuts out after start up

06 Opel Astra, doesn't happen all the time but has happened a good few times maybe once a week or fortnight but then could a month or two without happening. It only cuts out after starting never while I'm in traffic or driving. Could this be as the engine is still cold?
Had it serviced with Opel last year & they couldn't find anything wrong. Also sometimes when I start it it makes a slight screeching noise.
Anyone else have this problem with Opel?

Screeching is usually a belt (not timing belt).

Does the car stay running when you start the second time?

Yep but I have to rev it or it will die again

It could be the car not getting enough rich fuel when cold.
Maybe someone else will have another suggestion but I'd start with getting any codes read at a garage.
