One of the more interesting CTs, at first I scoffed at the very idea but after watching a few videos on it I must say I am intrigued ,

    Is this a parody?
I don't get why it has the goofy music and it's very very flimsy evidence.

And if it is, I don't get the joke...

    I'm not buying it.
So is the theory that they never went up in the shuttle or they somehow survived the explosion?

Yeah, this sounds like it's drawn from the plot of "Capricorn One"

    Great movie BTW

The flight was launched by remote control apparently, I don'e see the pay-off myself but the photos are very compelling to me. They are the same people by the looks of it don't you think?

    Jebus. You're easily compelled.

So. Let's see what we have.... Some people in some photographs look like some younger people in some other photographs?

    Fair enough. I'm sold. :pac:

Aren't you even a teeny bit curious though? They have the same names is some cases and then there are the 2 sets of twins, I would love to see the birth certs of these people just to clear it up because they are ringers for each other.

All launches are by remote control. That's the whole "Command" part of Nasa Command Centre. It's not like they give them ignition keys.

No. They died, probably on impact with the ocean rather than point of explosion, but they died. All of them.

pretty sure they died instantly, i can still remember watching that mission on live tv :/ there's not much of anything in the way of debris being as large as the command capsule after the initial explosion

    see for yourself here

the shuttle is just gone - the booster rockets continued on - the explosion is around 2 minutes in

The cockpit was re-inforced & some of the manual "push hard" switches were moved. Some of the individual oxygen supplies has also been consumed - they've tied the consumption to the speed of decent & it tallys.

All of which indicates at least some survived the explosion & were following their training until impact with the ocean at least.

In fact NASA already stated some years back that it's entirely likely at least three of the crew survived - Three of their emergency airpacks (Four were recovered in the wreckage) manually activated & air consumed.

    Re-inforced cockpit:

never heard that before, did they issue that statement officially?

Are those people real that have been linked to this.
    Couldn't they just be lookalikes.
Couldn't the names be made up?

I read it in some report a couple of years ago... I think it was around the 25th Anniversary.

They'd said (although they probably know 100%), that the push hard switches couldn't have been accidentally moved, they're called push hard for a reason & the oxygen activation is a manual operation. It's in all likelihood the astronauts going through their training & nothing they did would have saved them.

So then whats the more likely conspiracy here then?
NASA sparing these astronauts for some reason then giving them very easily discovered identities that anyone with an internet connection can figure out?
And all for some unknown reason?

How do you know that those pictures are actually associated with those names and people? Did you do anything to verify the claims of the video?

Nope not a thing just took it at face value for a bit of entertainment, not saying I believe it but just a bit curious all the same ;)

Could make this same post without the argumentative sandwich at the top and bottom of it.

The Smith chap had clearly different ears in the young and old pics so unless he has had surgery it's a different man.
