Are UPC throttling?

I recently obtained netflix, with a 4k subscription and a 4k tv. broke my arm so have spent alot of time on netflix recently.

Have downloaded far more data than usual I expect, also use usenet.

Since yesterday my download speeds appear to have significantly reduced. I am wondering whether UPC throttle accounts where they have downloaded significant volumes of data? Do they do this? I will call them to discuss but would be grateful for any insight available here.

Having been a UPC customer for 7 years, I have never experienced throttling.

The general consensus when this question pops up, is that they do not throttle.

Sometimes I find rebooting the router solves the issue as it could be that its overheating

They don't have the ability as far as I know.

They do have really bad routes to a lot of the popular data centres though. I dealt with that problem for just under a year when I owned an OVH server.

They definitely dont throttle. I've "pushed it" just to see, not a peep from them. Of course they have the ability to though /\/ollog, the CMTS sets your bandwidth and could easily scale throughput if they decided to.

OP chances are its either a fault or UPCs **** customer equipment.
