I googled them to find out where they were, Dublin as expected.

Got an interesting result though, thought I'd share http://m.rte.ie/news/2014/0228/507490-ursula-shannon/

Why would you Google them to find out where they are when the o p said they were in Moore street?

    Moore Street in west Philadelphia?

Because I don't live in Dublin is why, and I like meat. Wanted to see if it was anywhere near my area.

Cheap meat is rarely a bargain.
Most of the time you're just buying a poor quality product.

Why would you expect someone to know where Moore Street is if they are not familiar with Dublin

FYI Cork, Limerick, Galway all have a Moore St. How was he supposed to know it was the Dublin Moore St? Hence he googled the location.

Either way ..71_posts in 9 years. Last post 4 months ago with nothing notable on BA and then a glowing post for Troys.

I'll stick to my local craft butcher thanks.

Never trust a deal from a butcher like this, poor quality meat more than likely.
If there a good butcher they dont need to advertise specials, will have more than enough customer by word of mouth.

Eh, I didn't mean to imply anything about some owner's politics, I just found it really interesting is all.
I don't usually google a business and find a story about an arrest.

Seems a good deal for the price, I'd get it if it was more local.

I was over there today to buy the deal but i didnt like the look off the guy with glasses serving the meat

After I read your post I googled the name, found the item u put a link up for but also found a story about how at Xmas they supply a dublin homeless charity with enough food for the people they put up and have done for many years and also a story in the herald about how long they have been trading for, over 90 years, if memory serves me, so must be doing something right, but anyway I'm not going to fight there corner here all night, unless there's another €20 deal in it for me...are u listening Troys??

Never heard of Moore St. in Dublin myself.

Then again, the only parts of Dublin I care for are the train station and the airport.

Jesus. It's a famouse landmark that featured in all our history books. Know the country you live in.

Troys do a good deal on lamb too. It's about €12 for 13 centre loin chops. The chops are a bit big and a little bit tough, but very tasty. They're nice heavily spiced and bbq'd.

Yes, I hinted at that when I said they were a bit big and tough. Doubt it's ram though. Still tasty if you know how to prep and cook cheap cuts.

I know the country I live in very well. I just don't happen to recognise the name of 1 bloody street I've never been to in a city the other side of the country.

Well don't get upset. And don't worry, I know someone that had never heard of Achill Island!!! You're not alone! Next time you're in you're capital you know where to get some cheap cuts of meat. PM me or visit the regional threads for any more interesting facts or famous enough places to visit that you haven't heard about.
