I'm currently working full time and have been since november of last year. i intend to work part time, around 16 hours a week which is the minimum i can do in my current job.I have also applied for a susi grant , the only thing worrying me about this whole process is the money.I'm 26 ,am i entitled to a payment from welfare ?

No you wouldn't be entitled for anything from welfare. To get back to education allowance, you have to be getting a social welfare payment for 9 months and be on it before you start the course. Hopefully, you'll get something from SUSI. They base the amount they give you on your income for the previous year. So for the upcoming academic year, they will be basing it on your income from 2014.

    No

You could apply for a SUSI grant. It would be assesed on your 2014 income.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

If you are going to reduce your hours because of your attendance to college, you can apply for a change to your circumstances and they may apply your new working hours and reduced salary.

If you are successful in getting a change in circumstances, you will be re-assed next year and if the change in your circumstances differs from what you applied for this year, then any difference may be recouped from you.
