Is it liable if solicitor persists in presenting lies about me as facts in letters to me when his client is loaded ( thanks to Hubby's huge Bank pension). This is just the latest past time for person in question but is causing huge distress to me and my immediate family. I have tried everything from calling ,writing ,getting others to talk but the person seems to get a kick out of employing solicitors to damage me. Any advice how I can stop this madness as this is the second solicitor she has employed to peddle her lies. The first ended up all the way to court where the judge saw through the lies straight away and threw her sol and barrister out of the court. How do u stop someone full of hate from abusing the legal process in this way. First sol apologised to me before the court and that he had acted in a conflict of interest case. Really need to take back my power here. Any helpful advice??? Can a person who is loaded continue to employ a solicitor to lie about me and destroy my life just because this is light entertainment for her and according to her I am powerless because "money will always win out" and she pays her legal guys very well. I know this is pure madness but how do you stop it.

A permanent document in terms of liable? I honestly don't understand the thread title.

The courts will dismiss claims which are prima facie without merit, i.e. the basic facts cannot reasonably be disputed. Your solicitor can advise on whether you can expect to avail of this.

Nothing said about you, in a letter to you, can be libellous or defamatory. It's only defamation if he says it to someone else.
