Hi folks, just a bit confused with this one. Tuition fees, student contribution and maintenance. Exceeding the threshold of €45790 indicates you lose the maintenance and are entitles to 50% student fees and 100% student contribution. I thought the fees were free ? So should it really say 100% fees and 50% cons leaving me with an approx bill of 1500€ ???

No it is correct. The 50% tuition fee is not payable if your fees are covered under the Free Fees Scheme. So you would be entitled to 100% Student Contribution, if you qualify for free fees.

Once you are eligible for the free fees scheme they are free

If you eligible for 100% student contribution (and 50 % student fees which are free) then you pay 0 fees

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
