Connecting external mic to Canon 6D

Hi folks, I'm looking to connect a Zoom H5 recorder to a Canon 6D for video work. Anyone have any experience on the best way to go about this set up and what leads and other equipment I need? Thanks in advance. Tony

You just need a hotshoe mount (to hold the recorder) and a 3.5mm - 3.5mm lead (Also called TRS - TRS connector).
