    Hi All, Does anyone know of a codec for cr2 file that actually works in windows 8.1? I've been to both Canon and Microsoft sites and downloaded the supposed codecs, but still cant see my raw images other than the PS icon.

    It will more depend on your camera. Older Canon cameras that generate the raw (.cr2) files can be viewed with those codecs.

    But, newer cameras might not have an available codec from either party.

    It's a 5d mk2. Plenty of codecs available, I just cant get one to work with 8.1 for some reason.

    The one from the Canon website works fine for me. Was running Windows 8.1 and still working on Windows 10
