I just won my Disability Allowance appeal and I know they used to send out a paper free travel pass almost straight away when you qualified for one but what happens now with the plastic public services card? It says on the website they are no longer issuing the paper passes, I already have a plastic public services card so will they automatically send me a new plastic card with the free travel logo on it or do I have to apply?

If your appeal was to the Appeals office the your application has been simply returned to Longford where they will continue processing your application. You will in time get a letter from Longford telling you what's going to happen next, but no, you don't have to apply for your Free Travel

You must apply for household benefit package
You will receive a letter telling you you are entitled to travel pass you go to your nearest bus train station they take your pic there and than and make you a card from my own experience

To my knowledge, all new FTPs are on PSCs.

They will automatically send you out a replacement card with the free travel logo and ask you to dispose of the previous one.

That's what happened to me a couple of months ago!

Things have changed in the last 12 months .
the FTP is now part of the integrated public services card .
Its replacing the standard welfare card with a new version that comes with your picture and free travel entitlement built in ,
Its called the PSC (Public services card )
