A new time zone for Ireland

Using the North Korean example it is time (pun intended) for our Republic to declare a new time zone. To cement our separation from our former Imperialist Masters.

Thirty minutes behind UK time, including Northern Ireland. Since every 15 degrees of longtitude equates to one hour on the clock this will ensure a fairer distribution of sunshine, as most of the country is between 5 and 10 degrees West. This is also what happened in Venezuela.

Next year when we put the clock forward we should just leave it at that. I think there was a proposal on it last year

Separate one for Dublin and the rest of the country, the rest of the country are 30 years behind.

No. I already memorized a bunch of f**king time differences for various countries. Plus it'd ruin things like the football.

Every Friday at 9 a.m the clocks should go forward 8 hours. Every Sunday at 9 p.m the clocks should go back 24 hours.

    We should go fully metric
“Principal Skinner, how’s your transportation project coming?”
“Oh, excellent. Not only are the trains now running on time, they’re running on metric time. Remember this moment, people, eighty past two on April 47th, it’s the dawn of an enlightened Springfield.”

If you hate your job. Not everyone does.

Your plan is brutal for anyone working weekends!

Let's put ourselves one hour ahead of the England. Then Scotland puts itself an hour behind England. Wales goes forward by 30 minutes. England stays the same (control group)

Lets watch what Northern Ireland does....

Newfoundland has its own timezone.. it is half an hour ahead of the rest of Atlantic Canada.

Interestingly enough, the accent there is a sounds very Irish. I believe a lot of Canadians there are heavily Irish

Is this idea from the same bunch of people who want us to drive on the right so as tonne different? Christ, they'll be suggesting we speak a different language next.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

there are indeed, but the strange thing is their link to Ireland goes back a very long way, yet they still have a bit of the accent and sing Irish songs.

The first 5 minutes of this clip is worth a watch

This isn't new! Not much about it, but have a search for "Dublin Mean Time".

Let's put ourselves one hour ahead of the England.
I'm happy enough to be on Irish Standard Time, because we are already in a different time zone to the UK.

I'd do it for the laugh. Imagine having a time change when you cross over the border. We should switch to driving on the other side of the road too, in line with the rest of the EU. Wondering why KJU decided to change the time zone. He isn't going to make any money for the DPRK by doing so.

Will Denis O'Brien profit from it, or give him ground to sue somebody? That's my new go-to question for assessing any policy or proposal.
